Noelle Whittington, ERYT500 leads 200 and 300 hour Kunga Yoga Lifestyle Teacher Trainings. Noelle is also a Professional Level Kunga Yoga Leader, completing a 350 hour advanced apprenticeship certification with Kristin Cooper-Gulak; and is currently pursuing her 1000hour Kunga Yoga certification.

Jessica Moody, 200ERYT, 500RYT
Co-Director of Village Yoga, Jessica Moody, began practicing yoga in 2007. Ever since discovering Yoga, she has taken her practice around the world and lived seasonally on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. In 2013 she co-founded Village Yoga, a social entrepreneurship and yoga studio on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Katie Kennis 200ERYT, 500RYT
Growing up on the Outer Banks, Village Yoga C0-Founder Katie Kennis first discovered yoga in 2003 through the loving guidance of her yogini mother, Maggie. From then on she was hooked. Through a dedicated daily practice and a love of travel, Katie found herself completing a 200-hour Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga certification through School Yoga Institute
Jess Bichler, ERYT500
Jessica Bichler has a rich yogic history, steeped in a variety of trainings and lineages, bringing a wealth of knowledge to her classes, workshops and teacher trainings. Jess came to yoga in her teens, recognizing it as a path towards staying active and healthy throughout every stage of life and began teaching in 2001.
Heather Metzler, ERYT500
Kunga Yoga Faculty Instructor Heather Metzler is a certified 500-hour Kunga Yoga teacher. She has also completed the 100 hour Professional Level Kunga Yoga Apprenticeship under Kristin Cooper for Kunga Yoga Leaders, and is working towards 1000-hour Kunga Yoga certification.
Nicole Fitzwater, ERYT500
Nicole grew up in Blacksburg, Va. She attended the University of Virginia, and after 15 years of living away from the New River Valley has returned home to her roots and her and her husband purchased In Balance Yoga in the summer of 2013 from founder Becky McDaniel Crigger. Nicole has been a yogini since January 2006 and has practiced in studios all over the country and even internationally, focusing on the Bikram, Barkan, Baptiste, Ashtanga and Dharma Yoga traditions. Nicole studied with D’ana Baptiste for two years at Centered City Yoga in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2007 and 2008.

Before becoming the Owner of In Balance Yoga, Nicole worked in development with both Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia for 5 years, 7 years in sports marketing with CBS Sports (University of Maryland, Virginia, LSU, Utah and corporate) and advertising with BBDO New York. Nicole loves to share movement and breath. Yoga helped her find her true self and she hopes to cultivate a community of service at In Balance to impact those in need in the area.
